VolunTemoc

VolunTemoc is week of service organized by the Office of Student Volunteerism (October 21st – October 25th). The event is named after our university mascot, Temoc.

Annual Week of Service

During this week, students and staff join forces with community partners to make a positive impact in the local area. By coming together to volunteer, students and staff address critical issues, provide much-needed assistance and make a difference in the lives of those around them. This collaborative effort not only benefits the community but also builds valuable skills and relationships that will last a lifetime.

Important Dates

VolunTemoc is an annual day of service organized by the Office of Student Volunteerism.

Community partners

For the event to be successful, we rely on the local community and non-profit organizations to host our volunteers. If you are interested in hosting a group, please take a moment to provide details for your project so we have a better understanding about what type of project you want to facilitate.

Ideally, we are looking for projects that can take place in two-hour shifts between 9 a.m to 4 p.m between October 21st – 25th. If you have a service project that needs to take place outside of that timeframe, please email volunteer@utdallas.edu and we can discuss options with you.

If you are interested in conducting a service project on campus, please email volunteer@utdallas.edu with your detailed plan including number of participants, materials needed and the preferred location. Deadline to communicate an interest to host a service project on campus is September 20th. Please also note that there could be limited space available therefore we suggest planning ahead.
